Journalists are tired to write about such new products as earphones. But the market continues to replenish with new models. This time SEB series earphones of SVEN Company, namely Sapphire, Amethyst and Tourmaline, fell to my lot. They differed by the color only in a crucial respect. In the editorial office, they solemnly put off rather attractive, faceted, transparent plastic small boxes upon me. I decided at first that they were New Year’s toys, but upon closer inspection it turned out they were headphones – earphones. There were earphones, packed as a jewelry, removable earplugs and warranty card in a small box on crispy foil. The warranty period for the item was 12 months of the date of sale. But, the important thing was the earplugs had three sizes and three colors: transparent, white and blue. But we speak about this later.
Design
To tell the truth the design did not impressed me and it was not surprising, because earphones were designed for another half of humanity. The reaction of women and girls in the age from 15 to 50 years was identical: “Where can I buy them?” No one of them did ask a question about their price. Now I understand, why such price range from RUB 157 to 590 was in the internet!
ЖенWomen and men buy these items (as a gift) without asking the price. In regard to the design, the producer hit the bull’s-eye in this case! The producer calculated all the female weaknesses with an accuracy of one millimeter! The thing which I named as the crispy foil, in woman language is named as “sky-blue gift paper” (Sapphire model), in which jewelry is packed, and a small box looks like a small box with jewelry.
Earplugs are decorated with strasses on the outside. If these earphones to combine with woman’s smartphone or tablet PC, they will make a single ensemble. Bravo, SVEN, there has not been such successful hit to the primary audience for a long time! At that, all three colors fit ideally modern tendencies and other colors are not necessary!
One young 15-years-old person of rather eccentric appearance, her ears were decorated with strasses along the perimeter (or to the diameter), asked me to give them to her to test such funny earphones. On my question, what the test would consist in she answered naively – at school they would be a lollapalooza! When she inserted the earphones in the abundance of strasses and metal, I understood where they were only according to their cable.
A 27years-old woman with a child on the spot solicited me one set for herself and went away with it to her work not putting on a headwear. In the evening, coming back from the work, she asked me to buy the earphones from the company representatives. And again no questions about the price at all, only requirements to that color. And the case of her Nokia turned out to be decorated with strasses of right color.
Comfort
As I have written above, there are three sizes of earplugs in the package content. As women, who had taken part in testing, explained to me, a small size was a rare. But there was small size in the package content. And, not the least of the factors, earplugs are silicon due to which earphones provide high noise insulation and do not fall out from the voice canal. If the cable is not compressed, you are able to revolve your head every which way holding it at any angle.
In my smartphone Samsung earphones are equipped with hard plastic earplugs, due to which they fall out constantly. Therefore, while listening to Soloviev in the morning, I have to walk carrying my head high and turning the whole my body, as a tank. One minus only – SVEN Company has not foreseen a special clothespin to fasten the cable on clothes to provide free running for the cable.
Sounding
Sounding is very soft, not overloaded with basses, with the preference of vocal parties, what the improved sound transmission system is responsible for. The model is undoubtedly designed for female audience – while listening to Hard Rock by Queen or Uriah Heep a soloist is unusually stood out. A certain charm is in that.
While listening to Child in Time by Deep Purple my wife asked why I did not put for me that song before, it was so melodious and the soloist tried so much, although she had visited their concert. Now I can put the rock at any time being not afraid of sanctions.
My daughter appreciated Joe Dassin and Voskresenie. Nikolskiy began to sound clearly, appeared on the first plan. The middle frequencies are reproduced by the earphones without distortions, without “takeoffs” and “dip” of the amplitude-frequency characteristic. High and lower middle frequencies are practically ideal. All “aunts” participating in the test marked very clear sound and wonderful sound scene.
Earphones reproduce audio books beyond praise. The sound is clear, the scene is severe. Listening with delight I missed the pair of stations. The performance was by the top-class voice of Vitorgan and the sound was to match for him.
Conclusion
This is an ideal earphones for any modern woman. A lot of things have not sufficient for me, but for such a price – it is the ideal! Gentlemen from SVEN Company, sell, please, one set for my daughter! Now I address to you, men! Buy these earphones for your beloved! You risk nothing, because any self-respecting shop gives you 10 days to return a purchase, but you will see a delight in the eyes of your sweet ones and you will feel as a magician.
