Finnish SVEN Company can be named, in some specified sense, as a legendary company. Let there are no devices of superior quality in its assortment, which would heat the imagination by their capabilities, but on the other hand, it succeeded in literally shocking the market of computer speakers times out of number, by representing models with the excellent quality-to-price ratio. But the market of computer speakers is not the only sphere, where SVEN makes itself known, the company produces the broad spectrum of computer accessories ranging from surge filter to keyboards and mice.
But recently the company decided to try its efforts in a new industry for its capabilities – and produced its first model of a Bluetooth headset. A new product got the name SVEN AP-B770MV. As well as the lion's share of other devices of the company, it is distinguished by low price for its class, which is equal approximately to RUB 2000; however, taking into consideration the company’s reputation in the field of computer speakers, it is not unreasonable to expect that SVEN AP-B770MV will be the real Must Have for its money. Let us become closely acquainted with them and know whether the headset warrants so great expectations.
As can be seen, 3.0 Bluetooth version is used in the headset to connect to a sound source, at that the headset is not capable to connect with the help of a cable. This disadvantage is not the most critical one, however the user of Sven’s headset depends on a wall socket, and amateurs to go as far away as possible from places, where the electricity dwells, cannot like it, taking with them their favorite music.
The producer declares for SVEN AP-B770MV impressive time of self-sufficient operation – up to 22 hours. The test in the speaking mode was succeeded at once. But in the music listening mode, according to our tests, the result at first appeared more modest – playing with the maximum volume level the headset was able to hold out without charging about 9 hours. But after thinking for a while, I decided to carry out the daily marathon anew – after new hundred-per-cent charging. This time I reduced the sound a little bit from the maximum level, all the same only mongoloids mellow out at full throttle, and the marathon was succeeded to declared 22 hours.
The index is quite good, the more so because normal users really and truly seldom will increase the volume as far as it will go, the middle volume level will be enough to the majority of users in not very noisy conditions, and operating with such volume level SVEN AP-B770MV will able for sure to operate even longer.
One of the headset features is the availability of buttons to control playback, we checked their operating capacity in standard Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone musical players, as well as in iTunes and VLC on Apple iMac players, and they operated properly everywhere.

There are additional control elements on both cups of SVEN AP-B770MV. There is a volume control knob and on/off button on the left cup, which can be also used to answer an incoming call/rejection, as well as to call the last dialed number or to switch on the voice-activated dialing function.
In the vicinity of them, there is the microphone grille and light indicator of charging/operation of the headset. A rewind button, Play/Pause button and miniUSB jack used for charging are on the right cup.
The cups are fixed on movable rotary joints, due to which they can be rotated for 90 degrees, thanks to that the headphones can be carried in briefcases or small bags.
Ear cushions are made of qualitative, smooth to the touch leatherette, the same that is used in the “pad” on its headband. Even though they are of the attachable type, they do not cause the distinctive discomfort during the use of the headphones, even after several hours of their carrying. Except auricles in the points of contact with ear cushions sweat quite quickly.
Ease of Use, Noise Insulation
The SVEN headphones dimensions are small, they produce a quite laconic impression being put on the head and their user does not look too lop-eared. At that, long extended cup holders enable to “adjust” them practically for any head size, it is hardly probable that the headphones will be small for someone of users. The pressing force of SVEN AP-B770MV cups can be named optimal; the headphones do not exert excess pressure on the user’s auricles, but at the same time, they hold quite firmly and do not try to dart off at jerks of the head.
As for the attachable headphones, SVEN AP-B770MV copes with chopping of external noises very good, you can listen to music in them even in such a noisy place as the underground. At that you will not have to catch separate faint notes of your music compositions in surrounding rumble straining your ears, the music will be audible distinctly for you. However, you will have to “untwist” the volume greatly in such noisy environment, and even so, you will hear the environmental noise, it will be approximately equal to half of your music.
Sounding
Taking into consideration that SVEN AP-B770MV are inexpensive headphones, with an additional advantage, that they are wireless, their sounding quality can be named excellent for their class. Of course, it is not worth to wait from them the outstanding detailing of the musical picture, distinct elaboration of intricate compositions with many simultaneously playing instruments, the fine nuances of timbres, different audiophile “delicacies” from the category of abilities to catch in records as musicians’ clothes rustle. Simply no wireless headphones of this price category are able to provide these.
But with respect to the tone equilibrium of sounding SVEN AP-B770MV proved itself perfectly indeed, and they perhaps can give a handicap to a number of models with frankly horse price lists.
Their sound has neither rumbling dismal bass, nor ringing high frequencies up to the gripes in ears, nor serious “distortions” in the mid-frequency range. There is slightly raised bass, which adds power and immensity to the sound, smooth and natural “medium”, as well as quite not sharp and pleasant to the ear high-frequencies.
Sounding of the headphones is soft, quiet and natural; it is devoid of some irritative moments. Yet they can boast of the appreciable volume despite their common simplicity.
It is recognized as well that SVEN AP-B770MV play very loudly, so loudly that playing “on all cylinders” they almost shout down small-sized portable speakers. However, if the volume is turned to the highest level, loudspeakers begin to crackle, as well as the sounding quality lowers, the sound becomes sharp. But it is hardly probable that users of SVEN AP-B770MV will often listen to music with maximum volume, it is too high. But if the volume is reduced a little bit, then everything comes to normal, the sharpness and crackle disappear.
Voice Transmission Quality
SVEN AP-B770MV headphones have no problems at all with the voice transmission quality, voices of interlocutors are well audible, the interlocutors do not also complain about bad audibility of your voice.

What do we have in the total, can we name SVEN AP-B770MV as a Must Have device in its class? From our point of view – completely. And the main reason to that is the sounding quality. The design, assembly quality, operation tine and additional functionality – all that in SVEN AP-B770MV are at a quite good, but fully typical level.
And the headphones surprised us really very, very much by the sound quality. Their sounding is natural, three-dimensional, powerful and profound thanks to slightly heightened bass amount. There are no irritating moments at all in it.
The detail, of course, is far from audiophile, but hardly probable that you will be able to find wireless headphones at a price of RUB 2000, where it higher radically.
