SVEN AP-970MV is a classic, big and solid headset for retro style admirers. It is ready to make happy its potential possessor not only by its comfortable ergonomic design with good adjustment possibilities but the excellent sound as well.
The model appearance reminds the audio equipment of the sixties of the last century. Large plastic ear cushions cover ears completely; thin and flexible steel bails in joint places of ear cushions with the headband and dominating black color are the features of SVEN AP-970MV design. It is also important that such a headset can “adapt itself” to different head sizes, it has ear resolvable cushions and the adjustable headband.
Soft removable artificial leather ear cushions and foam rubber lining on the headband are used to increase the comfort. So, the pressing to the head and ears turns out tight, but not too tough, the basic weight appears on the top of the head and that is an optimal variant.
The microphone is fixed on the short movable arrow fastened to the left ear cushion; this element is a pull-out one, so if desired it can be wholly hidden in the headset case. The device is connected to the computer with the help of a classic cable with two 3.5 mm mini-jack plugs. There is a clip with the volume control, LF regulator and the microphone on/off switch on the cable, so the most required functions will always be close at hand.
SVEN AP-970MV has a sensitivity 105 ± 4 dB and the frequency range covers 20 – 20,000 Hz. On the whole, the headset provides very pleasant and natural sounding with good balance of frequencies and a moderate compression tinge. The depth of basses is well felt, middle bands turn out detailed and high bands are clear. And thanks to its closed design the model also provides the tolerable soundproofing level.
Such a device does easily for talks via Skype as well, its microphone has a sensitivity -52 ± 3 and the frequency range is from 30 to 16,000 Hz. As a result the voice sounds very clear and brightly and side tones do not interfere with the speech perception.
