Tuki Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer SVEN SB-550. It is Simple to Add Surround-Sound!

Speaker systems produced by SVEN Company are known by the whole Russia. As well as Ukraine. And in general by all the states of CIS! For over 10 years SVEN has been leaving little chance to its competitors in the segment of inexpensive solutions providing unexpectedly rich and deep sound at a quite affordable price. And quite recently SVEN presented for the first time a speaker system of totally new type – a soundbar + wireless subwoofer. Meet SVEN SB-550!

What is a soundbar you most probably do not know for the present. We have not known about it until quite recently, therefore now we will explain briefly.

As everyone is well aware, the image quality of modern TV-sets passes ahead the sound quality considerably. Ii is so because the case dimensions of a present “thin” TV-set do not enable to place inside it loudspeakers of necessary size and power sufficient to create the realistic three-dimensional sound.

How do act those people, whom the quality of built-in loudspeakers in TV-sets does not suit? As a rule, they purchase a bulky 5.1 speaker system consisting of the front speakers, rear speakers, a central speaker and subwoofer. They beat their head how to place speakers with minimum losses for the interior, how to lay and hide cables. Who was a spider in his past life, he involuntarily scatters cables of his 5.1 speakers in such a way that his mother-in-law, wife, children and home animals are caught easily. I hope you have already guessed that more elegant solutions exist.

The soundbar is a compact system of surround sound developed specially for owners of flat TV-sets. The soundbar is mounted under a TV-set and it disposes of the difficulty of placing several speakers in the room and extending cables to them. When selecting a soundbar you should pay your attention to its length – for harmonization of the combination appearance of television + soundbar the soundbar length must be approximately equal to a TV-set width. The soundbar length 940 mm corresponds to the width of a flat panel 40”–42” TV-set.

Don’t worry, this “French baguette” is dismountable, and you will not have to turn a carton 1 meter long. The soundbar of SVEN SB-550 system consists of three components: left and right speaker units are joined with the central module and to avoid the construction disintegration due to sound vibrations of high power they are fixed with the help of special pins included in the package content.

The central module of the soundbar contains control buttons (volume and input selection) and the LED display with blue backlighting.

Each right and left sound modules of the soundbar have two middle frequency loudspeakers and one high-frequency loudspeaker.

A bracket, as well as screws and plastic dowels with wood screws to mount the soundbar to the wall are included in the package content.

The use of an external power supply unit enables to make the soundbar more compact and better combining with “slim” modern TV-sets.

A feature of SVEN SB-550 soundbar is the wireless connection between the subwoofer and soundbar. Due to this feature, the subwoofer can be placed wherever you like, either in a corner aside from the TV-set or in a niche, because low-frequency sound is not localized by the human ear in space, and the subwoofer must not be connected to the soundbar with a cable. The main thing is there should be a socket close to the subwoofer.

For wireless connection of the soundbar with subwoofer, we initially press PAIR button on the rear soundbar panel, and then PAIR button on the front subwoofer panel.

Separate volume level control of the subwoofer is available on the remote control.

Of course, some nuances of sound scenes reproduced by 5.1 system when using SVEN SB-550 speaker system you will not hear. However, it is not a high price for the compact size and minimum number of cables for connection of the three-dimensional sound system.
